Kohima: Nagaland MP S. Supongmeren Jamir chaired a DISHA meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Hall in Chumoukedima on July 2. Officials gathered to review Centrally Sponsored Schemes and fix stalled projects. The committee aims to boost service delivery across the district.

Jamir told the room that the committee exists to support progress, not to spark conflict with state agencies. He said, "The primary objective of the meeting was to assess departmental progress, identify challenges in implementation and collectively find practical solutions to improve developmental outcomes."

Heads from the Industry, Rural Development, Agriculture, and Youth Resources departments presented updates on ongoing work. Talks focused on water stress, sanitation, and waste management. Experts highlighted the need for better drainage to stop urban flooding. Jamir demanded better documentation from every office to track results. He pushed for stronger cooperation between departments to stretch government funding further.

Labor department officials received orders to ramp up awareness campaigns for eSHRAM registration and labor cards. These efforts target village clusters to reach more local youth. Stakeholders ended the day with a commitment to keep working together on regional infrastructure.
