Kohima: The Dimapur Forest Division and 90.8 Hills FM formalized a new partnership on August 20. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the division office. This deal kicks off a six-month collaborative effort running from August 2026 through January 2027.
Both parties aim to push public awareness regarding biodiversity, wildlife protection, and forest health. They plan to use community radio and digital platforms to reach residents. It makes environmental messaging accessible. 90.8 Hills FM operates as Nagaland’s first community radio station. The station brands itself as "The Voice of Change."
Representatives from each group attended the signing ceremony. They want to connect communities to conservation issues. This agreement renews an existing bond between the forest officials and the broadcasters. Both sides committed to finding new ways to share information on environmental safety.
