Nagaland Governor to Honor Top Students at June 17 Felicitation Ceremony

Kohima: The Nagaland Board of School Education will host the Governor’s Felicitation Programme on June 17 at 11 am. The event takes place at Dr Imkongliba Ao Hall in Kohima to honor high-achieving students from the 2026 HSLC and HSSLC examinations.

Honorees include rank holders, subject toppers in Modern Indian Languages and skill subjects, and those who excelled in the Science stream’s PCM and PCB categories. Recipients of the Governor’s Awards are also expected to attend. The board stated that due to space constraints, parents and heads of institutions have not been invited to the event.

The board requested that school heads notify all eligible students immediately. Participating students must confirm their attendance by emailing the board at nagaboard@gmail.com by 3 pm on June 15. The notification specified: "All invitees have been asked to report to the venue by 10.30 am and be seated by 10.45 am."

Attendees are required to wear the uniforms from their respective previous schools. This formal gathering serves to recognize the hard work of students across various academic disciplines in the state.
