Kohima: The Nagaland Congress has officially launched a statewide outreach initiative titled the People’s Voice Questionnaire to gather public input for the 2028 Assembly elections. Party leaders intend to use the collected data to build a policy roadmap that reflects the specific needs and priorities of residents across the state.

Working President Khriedi Theunuo announced the project during a press conference in Kohima. He explained that the survey has already been distributed to district units to ensure widespread participation. The party plans to engage various community sectors, including church leaders, village councils, social workers, and local organizations.

Highlighting the party's goal, Theunuo said, "The Congress wants to know what the people expect from the party and what kind of future they envision for Nagaland. The responses will help shape our policy-making and preparations for the 2028 elections."

State Congress President and Lok Sabha MP S. Supongmeren Jamir noted that the initiative comes as the party works to regain its footing after being out of power for over two decades. He emphasized that the leadership is prepared to review past electoral weaknesses and reconnect with grassroots voters. According to Jamir, the party recognizes that effective governance depends on understanding the genuine aspirations of the public.
