Modi Marks 250 Years of US Independence as Indian Navy Joins Celebration

Shillong: Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his best to President Donald Trump and the American people this Saturday. The occasion marks the 250th anniversary of US Independence. Modi spoke for 1.4 billion people.

"On behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, I extend my warmest congratulations to President Trump and the people of the United States on the historic 250th anniversary of your Independence," Modi posted on X. He noted that the two nations share a bond based on democracy and the rule of law.

The Indian mission in New York also shared warm wishes. They highlighted a mutual commitment to freedom and liberty. The friendship continues to grow. Officials expect the next 250 years to bring more peace and prosperity.

The Indian Navy joined the party. The ship INS Sudarshini sailed into American waters for the SAIL4th 250 New York and SAIL Boston events. It represents India in a massive global flotilla. The vessel arrived in Baltimore on June 26 following a stop in Norfolk, Virginia.

This mission is part of the Lokayan 26 expedition. The ship traveled through the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal during its journey. It previously participated in the Sail250 Virginia celebrations, where the crew marched in city parades and joined tall ships from across the globe.
