Aizawl: Mizoram is set to receive Rs 650 crore through the Centre’s Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) program for the current financial year. Chief Minister Lalduhoma confirmed the eligibility during a workshop in Aizawl focused on SASCI and the Real-time System of Integrated Quick Transfers (SNA SPARSH).

The Chief Minister highlighted that technological updates have streamlined how the state receives and manages central funds. He pointed to SNA SPARSH as the primary platform for these transactions and urged all government departments to master the system to keep development projects running smoothly.

Mizoram previously earned a Rs 350 crore incentive under SASCI Part 9 last year for its strong financial performance. The government aims to secure all available reform-linked incentives again this year by enhancing administrative speed. To support this goal, the state has delegated more financial authority to administrative heads, which allows for faster project approvals and spending.

Lalduhoma called on all departments to prioritize the timely use of sanctioned funds. He noted that closing SNA SPARSH accounts without delay is essential to improving the overall effectiveness of public financial management across the state.
