Aizawl: The Siaha District administration recently wrapped up a week-long outreach initiative aimed at bringing government welfare services to the doorsteps of remote tribal communities. Running from May 18 to May 25, the Jan Bhagidari campaign, titled Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle, focused on expanding awareness and improving service delivery in under-reached regions.
The effort spanned 27 villages across the Siaha and Tipa blocks, utilizing 27 local centers to host activities. Over 2,800 residents participated in health camps, public hearings, and benefit drives. Officials used these sessions to inform locals about key programs like PM JANMAN, the Ayushman Bharat health scheme, and various ration card services.
Local partners, including village councils, church leaders, and health workers, played a vital role in organizing the event. Beyond providing information, the campaign included on-site assessments of local infrastructure and dedicated grievance desks to help residents report concerns directly to government departments.
During the final debriefing session on May 25, Deputy Commissioner of Siaha joined department heads to review the program. They highlighted the importance of inter-departmental cooperation in achieving inclusive development. The district administration credited the success of the campaign to the collaboration between frontline workers and the communities themselves.
