Aizawl: Mizoram BJP president Vanlalhmuaka Beichhua asserted on Monday that the NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has remained free of corruption scandals for the past 12 years. Speaking at a party event in Aizawl, the MLA stated that the lack of graft allegations against any Union minister serves as evidence of the administration's integrity and efficiency.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, not a single Union minister from the BJP or the NDA alliance has faced corruption allegations," Beichhua said. He credited the central government's focus on transparency for driving national progress and strengthening systems designed to ensure greater accountability in public services.
Beichhua specifically pointed to the Direct Benefit Transfer mechanism as a primary tool for curbing financial leakages. By ensuring that government benefits reach recipients directly, the administration has minimized misappropriation and protected public resources. He also commended the Central Bureau of Investigation and the Enforcement Directorate for their work in addressing financial irregularities.
During the address, the BJP leader drew attention to a detected case involving the misuse of e-way bills with transactions totaling approximately Rs 970 crore linked to Mizoram and Myanmar. Describing this as a serious issue, he urged the public to stay alert and avoid participating in illegal financial activities.
