Aizawl: Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad wants the BJP to run Mizoram by 2028. The former Union minister took over as the party's state in-charge on October 3. He met with supporters at the Aizawl office to set the plan. The primary goal is simple: win the next Assembly elections. He told party members to unite for this goal.
Karad wants a stronger organization. He plans to fix problems for workers at every level. The party leadership stays connected with the grassroots. "I have come here to strengthen the BJP in Mizoram and work to ensure development in the state," Karad said. He hopes to build trust by solving local grievances.
The party has a long road ahead. Currently, the BJP holds two seats in the 40-member Assembly. Both legislators represent the southern Siaha district. Karad previously visited the Mamit district as part of a central government push for Aspirational Districts. He also visited the Thutak Nunpuitute Team in Zuangtui. He handed out gifts at this orphanage and rehabilitation center during a Seva Sankalp Abhiyan event.
