Kohima: Manipal Hospital EM Bypass held a medical education and emergency training session in Nagaland this Friday. The initiative, titled Anveshana, focused on improving public preparedness for medical crises and enhancing healthcare access for local media professionals.

During the event, a team of specialists addressed critical health challenges affecting the Northeast. Dr. Harsh Jain highlighted the increasing prevalence of stroke cases in the region, while Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty and Dr. Arya Chaudhuri explained how immediate intervention, particularly through CPR, is vital for survival during cardiac emergencies. Dr. Arunava Roy also participated, emphasizing the necessity of early screening for gynecological cancers to improve patient outcomes.

A practical training segment taught participants fundamental life support skills. These sessions provided hands-on experience in emergency response techniques, which experts said can make a significant difference before professional medical help reaches a patient.

The hospital also introduced a Media Privilege Card during the program. This benefit offers journalists improved access to healthcare services and exclusive advantages at Manipal Hospital facilities. Hospital leadership stated that these efforts are part of a broader strategy to foster community resilience and promote preventive care across Nagaland and the wider Northeast region.
