Kohima Police Return 33 Recovered Mobile Phones to Owners

Kohima: The Kohima Police recently returned 33 lost and stolen mobile phones to their owners as part of a community policing initiative. The recovered devices have a collective estimated value of 5.86 lakh rupees.

Authorities recovered 29 of these devices over the past six weeks. Officials distributed 17 phones worth 3 lakh rupees at the South Police Station before handing over another 12 handsets valued at 2.14 lakh rupees at the North Police Station on June 1.

These efforts follow the recovery of four additional phones earlier in the cycle. Those devices, valued at 72,500 rupees, were also successfully returned to their rightful owners to complete the total of 33 phones traced by the department.
