Kohima: Three powerful Lotha organizations are blocking the return of a former Nagaland University professor. The Lotha Students’ Union, Lotha Youth Hoho, and Lotha Eloe Hoho sent a formal protest to the Vice Chancellor on August 19. They want a firm stop to the reinstatement appeal of Dr. Sarat Chandra Yenisetti. The case stems from a serious incident involving the professor that first gained attention back in 2024.
Disciplinary action remains unfinished. This creates a problem. The groups insist the university must wrap up all pending proceedings before considering a return. The organizations also noted a separate plea from the Lotha Randan Khumshum directed at the Nagaland University Students’ Union-Lumami. They back these student concerns entirely. They demand a “serious, fair, and timely consideration” of the facts at hand.
The groups seek a reasoned conclusion based on official rules. They claim they are not trying to rig the process or dictate an outcome. They just want accountability. If the university ignores these warnings, the groups will take the fight higher. They promised to use administrative and legal channels to force action if the university keeps stalling.
