Kohima: The Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO) met with political leaders from national, state, and regional parties on June 2 in Tuensang to address the status of the Memorandum of Agreement. This agreement, signed on February 5, 2026, involves the Government of India, the state government, and the ENPO.

Participants at the conference hall unanimously agreed to uphold the original terms of the agreement without any dilution. This decision reinforces a resolution reached during an April 16 meeting with the Eastern Naga National Workers Forum.

Under the new commitment, political representatives from the region pledged to leverage their individual party platforms to push for the swift materialization of the deal. They emphasized that they would avoid any further delays in the implementation process.

The leaders also declared their intent to stand united under the guidance of the ENPO if the government fails to execute the agreement. The coalition maintains that this unified approach is necessary to protect the interests of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
