Dozens Join BJP in Bhandari as Party Expands Base in Wokha District

Kohima: A mass joining event in Bhandari Mandal, Wokha District, saw a significant influx of supporters into the Bharatiya Janata Party on June 13. The new members include a former political candidate, senior leaders, and various youth representatives who defected from other political organizations to align with the BJP.

Nagaland State BJP president Benjamin Yepthomi welcomed the new recruits during the ceremony. He emphasized that the shift signals a rising faith among the younger generation in the party's core vision. "The large turnout and mass joining demonstrate the increasing trust of the younger generation in the ideals and leadership of the BJP," Yepthomi said.

The state party leadership attributed this growth to the focus on inclusive development and welfare-oriented policies championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Following the event, the BJP Nagaland Media Cell released a statement expressing appreciation for the new members and reiterated a pledge to prioritize the progress and aspirations of the Bhandari community.
