Kohima: Dimapur Police are working to identify a man discovered dead at an auto parking area beneath the local flyover on June 13. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 2 pm after receiving telephonic notification at the East Police Station.
Authorities estimate the man was between 50 and 60 years old. At the time of recovery, he was wearing a brown T-shirt and red half pants. Following an inquest at the site, officials transported the body to the District Hospital Dimapur mortuary to await a post-mortem examination.
The police are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation. Interested parties may contact the Officer-in-Charge of East Police Station at 7085055020. Officials have requested that any "claimants, relatives or friends of the deceased" reach out to help establish his identity.
