Dimapur Federation Demands Crackdown on Illegal Nightclubs After Vandalism

Kohima: The Dimapur Urban Council Chairman Federation (DUCCF) is calling for a total shutdown of all illegal bars and nightclubs across town. The demand follows a violent incident at Prysm nightclub, where an official from the Naga Students Federation allegedly vandalized the business and made illegal financial demands. The nightclub is owned by the head of the Dimapur District Auto Drivers Union and the Dimapur Restaurant Union.

The federation labeled the act a serious breach of law. They blasted the district administration for allowing these establishments to operate in the open. The DUCCF issued a stern warning regarding the conduct of those involved. "Such acts of vandalism, intimidation and lawlessness will not be tolerated by the DUCCF whoever or whatever the person may be," the federation stated.

These venues have become a nightmare for local families. The federation is now pressuring the police and district officials to revoke licenses and dismantle these businesses. They want to know exactly how these outlets obtained permits to sell alcohol. They also called on churches and tribal leaders to confront members who lease property to nightclub owners.

Business owners holding public office were singled out for running what the group called disgraceful establishments. The federation made it clear that no individual or organization stands above the law. They urged local colony councils to stay alert and assist police in keeping the streets secure. The group remains firm that business owners deserve protection from self-styled vigilantes and extortionists.
