Shillong: Yoga enthusiasts across Shillong marked the occasion by performing various asanas at several locations throughout the region. The gatherings highlighted the broad appeal of the practice as it brought together diverse groups ranging from students to cadets.
Participants demonstrated poses at the East Khasi Hills EAC Headquarters in Upper Shillong and joined sessions held at NEHU. The celebrations also extended to youth groups, including NCC cadets at Umiam Lake and members of the NCC unit at Buddha Bhanu Saraswati College. Underprivileged children served by the SPARK centres also took part in the activities to celebrate the spirit of yoga.
