Kohima: Chümoukedima officials are pushing for a public overhaul. The Deputy Commissioner is launching Reform Utsav, a nationwide drive to squeeze better performance out of local governance. The project runs from October 2, 2026, through the end of December.
Citizens need to step up. The government wants specific feedback on healthcare, power, education, roads, water, sanitation, and telecom connectivity. Participants should identify existing hurdles and offer concrete fixes to boost service delivery. Local bodies and all government offices must now spread the word to ensure high turnout.
Deputy Commissioner Polan John wants results. He expects local input to sharpen the administration, stating, "valuable suggestions can help make Reform Utsav 2026 a meaningful platform for improving governance and public services."
