Capstone School Hosts Debut Autumn Fest in Chümoukedima

Kohima: Capstone School held its inaugural Autumn Fest on October 16 in Thilixu Village, Chümoukedima. The event showcased student talent through dance, music, poetry, and a Taekwondo demonstration. Students from Grades 1 and 2 also performed a traditional war cry.

Science projects filled the exhibition hall. These displays pushed students toward hands-on learning. Hetoka Achumi, the school administrator, championed the event as a vital break from standard textbook lessons.

Vipelo Shohe and Alina Zhimo delivered the welcome note. Ms. Kivitoli B. Zhimo led the prayer, while Kilini Zhimomi handled the scripture reading. Phijing Wangnao hosted the session, which ended with a song from Chonglung M Aventh of UKG A. Attendees also visited various food and beverage stalls.

Achumi stated, "The fest aims to bring students, teachers and parents together as one community and encourage children to showcase their talents, abilities and creativity." He hopes the day built confidence, teamwork, and social skills among the youth.
