Kohima: Agricultural Technology Management Agency staff hit the fields last month. Between August 27 and 29, 2026, the Tening Block team ran a string of workshops across local villages to boost rural production.

Kewichamsi Kaurinta, an Agricultural Technology Manager, kicked things off at Old Tesen on August 27. She taught farmers how to mix and apply Bijamrita using Zero Budget Natural Farming methods. The pace stayed high the next day. Tangit Longkumer, another ATM, held a session in Tening village on August 28 focused on vermicompost preparation.

According to the agency, these programs help to "promote sustainable farming practices, skill development and livelihood enhancement among rural communities."

Lily Tungoe, the Block Technology Manager, wrapped up the series on August 29. She held a capacity building event in Nkailwa village to teach residents how to make dishwashing liquid.
