Kohima: Assam Rifles wrapped up a two-day drone training program for 26 NCC girl cadets. The sessions ran from October 23 to 24 at the IGAR North Drone Training Node in Jalukie, Peren district. Cadets mastered flight controls, safety protocols, and technical maintenance. They used simulators before moving to the workshop to study 3D printing and drone assembly.
Day two involved live flight demonstrations. Instructors showed the students how to hover, maneuver, and land drones safely. The group held an interactive discussion on future career paths within the growing technology sector. Force officials noted these efforts aim to build skill sets and technical awareness.
Separately, the military force held a cleanliness drive at Patkai Christian College on October 24. This effort fell under the umbrella of Special Campaign 6.0. Students spent the day removing litter and learning about environmental hygiene. Assam Rifles stated that such initiatives help "instil discipline, civic responsibility and environmental consciousness among the younger generation." The force plans to continue these community outreach missions across Nagaland to support nation-building and environmental protection.
