Kohima: The Nagaland Police Retired Officers Association held its 12th annual general conference this Sunday. Members met at the Rhododendron Hall, located at the Central Police Officers’ Mess in Chumoukedima. The event brought old comrades together. It served as a venue for former officers to trade stories and renew lasting bonds.
Guest of honour N.N. Walling, a retired Director General of Police for Prisons, spoke to the crowd. He pushed members to stay engaged with the association. Walling said, "The association’s meetings are a valuable opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues and comrades." He drew on his own years of service to stress why keeping these professional relationships alive matters.
NPROA vice-president T. Chaya chaired the session. Rev. A. Temsu Longkumer, pastor of the Nagaland Police Baptist Church in Chumoukedima, led the invocation. Association president Imsusungit Longkumer provided the welcome address. Vice-president Nrilo Rengma performed a special musical number for the attendees.
Business reports dominated the afternoon. Secretary Temsunochet Longkumer delivered the official report. Treasurer L. Kahuto Sema read the financial statement. The day concluded with a vote of thanks from vice-president Nlumo Lotha.
