Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is taking the state's CM-FLIGHT initiative global. He plans to add Korean, German, and other foreign languages to the curriculum to help young residents land jobs overseas. The program aims to turn local demographic strength into international career success.

Sarma shared his vision on social media this week. He believes the state has a unique chance to feed the global hunger for skilled workers. "The convergence of Assam's demographic potential and the global demand for skilled labour talent presents us one of the greatest opportunities," he wrote.

The initiative started with a focus on Japanese, pulling in more than 50 students for the initial pilot. That first group saw strong results. Now, officials are ramping up the effort to bridge the gap between local talent and foreign employers.

The Chief Minister recently sat down with the first batch of trainees. He watched them sharpen their skills for the international market. Sarma noted, "It was truly satisfying for me to see how this program is helping their aspirations find a place on the global arena."
