Assam BJP MLA Shiladitya Dev Accuses TMC of Institutional Corruption in West Bengal

Guwahati: Assam BJP MLA Shiladitya Dev has launched a sharp critique of the All India Trinamool Congress, claiming the party has institutionalized a culture of corruption within West Bengal. Dev argued that the TMC adopted and refined corrupt practices originally introduced during the rule of the Communist Party, specifically training its cadres to participate in these illicit activities.

According to the BJP legislator, those involved in illegal operations and syndicate networks are struggling as enforcement measures and public scrutiny intensify. He suggested that the growing influence of the BJP in the region has created an environment where citizens feel empowered to speak out against lawlessness.

Dev stated, "People are now able to speak out more fearlessly against corruption and unlawful activities." This rhetoric follows an ongoing series of political clashes between the BJP and TMC regarding governance and regional law and order.

TMC leadership has consistently dismissed these accusations. The party maintains that such claims are merely politically motivated attacks designed to discredit them.
