Itanagar: A community outreach program in Pangin village recently brought together local residents, farmers, and leaders to focus on agricultural growth and the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project. The initiative, which launched on May 27, sought to improve local understanding of the proposed regional development project while teaching modern horticultural techniques.

Horticulture Development Officer Leniya Pertin served as the chief guest, guiding participants through advanced avocado cultivation and crop management strategies. She urged attendees to adopt scientific farming methods to boost productivity and secure long-term livelihoods.

The event featured open discussions involving senior public leader Oyar Gao and youth leader Tatop Panor. More than 25 villagers attended the sessions to engage with experts on topics ranging from sustainable agriculture to infrastructure. Organizers distributed informational booklets about the Siang Upper Multipurpose Project to ensure transparency and encourage informed community feedback on the initiative.
