Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has declared the protection of indigenous rights and identity as a non-negotiable priority for his government. This statement followed an initial meeting with the newly elected Central Executive Body of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union.

Khandu met with the student leadership, headed by President Meje Taku, to discuss the state's future.
