Arunachal Athlete Yanu Mane Grabs Gold and Silver in Patna

Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh athlete Yanu Mane struck gold in the 800m and silver in the 1500m at the 37th East Zone Junior Athletics Championship. The meet ran from September 22 to 24 at the Pataliputra Sports Complex in Kankarbagh, Patna. She dominated the track.

Mane represents the Shi Yomi district. She hails from Monigong and now trains at the Sanjay Lhaden Sports Academy in Chimpu, Itanagar. Her coach, Priyo Kumar Meitei, oversees her daily training regimen. She is the daughter of Taling Mane and Yajum Mane.

The athlete remains focused on national competition. Her performance signals a surge of talent from Arunachal Pradesh. Mane attributes her success to a mix of mental toughness and physical endurance. She keeps her head down. "Success comes through countless hours of training, discipline, hard work and sacrifices, along with the constant support of coaches and family," she said.

Mane credited her coach for his patience and belief in her talent. Supporters praise her discipline as the driving force behind this double-medal haul. She now plans to prepare for future meets to build on this milestone.
