Kohima: The All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) says Indian security forces killed Lanbimei Riamei. The 29-year-old village guard served at the Longmai III Baptist Church. ANSAM president Th. Angteshang Maring released a statement confirming the death. He called the guard a martyr.
The group claims the killing happened in Naga territory. These facts remain unverified. Riamei was a member of the Rongmei community. His death hits the Naga people hard.
ANSAM sent condolences to the victim's family and relatives. They stand with the mourning community. Maring said, "The circumstances surrounding the incident could not be independently verified."
The organization wants all Naga tribes to stick together. They urged members to preserve their heritage and show solidarity. They prayed for peace for the family during this period of grief.
