Kohima: The All Nagaland College Students’ Union is pressing the state government to address a significant delay in the registration of coaching institutes across Nagaland. Despite clear guidelines issued more than five months ago, local authorities have yet to formally register a single facility.
ANCSU president Kivika Yeptho and assistant general secretary Imnawabang T. Lkr sent a formal reminder to the state chief secretary regarding the issue. The union previously contacted the higher and technical education department and various district administrations on February 12, 2026, to request that the process be streamlined. However, the union noted with “grave concern” that the authorities have failed to act on the matter.
The organization stated that this ongoing inaction calls into question the commitment of responsible departments to student welfare. While acknowledging that administrative tasks require time, the union emphasized that it would not remain a “mute spectator” while the interests of students and aspirants are neglected. ANCSU has now requested that the chief secretary direct district administrations to verify and forward applications to the state-level committee immediately to ensure the process moves forward without further conflict.
