ZBCC and Bible Society of India Host Ministry Seminar in Peren

Kohima: The Zeme Baptist Church Council and the Bible Society of India held a joint seminar on May 5 at the Ichui Hall in Peren. The event brought together 93 pastors and church leaders to discuss the ongoing mission of expanding access to religious texts.

Haigangbeu Hengame, the youth secretary, moderated the proceedings, which opened with welcoming remarks from Dr. Rampaukopoing Michui, the executive secretary of the Zeme Baptist Church Council. The discussion focused on the role of local congregations in supporting the broader goals of the Bible Society of India.

Rev. Dr. Yiepetso Wezah, the senior auxiliary secretary, addressed the attendees regarding the urgency of their work. He said, "Over half the world’s population lacks access to Scripture." To support these efforts, assistant officer Marwati delivered a presentation on the spirituality of fundraising, encouraging believers to commit to prayer and financial support for the mission.
