Kohima: The Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) blasted a local police officer for pulling a gun on a delivery worker. The incident happened August 1 at Naga United Village in Chümoukedima district. Officials identified the cop as Blessto Zhimo of Ghukiye village. He allegedly threatened Khruvota, a delivery worker from Dzulhami village.
This abuse of power sparked immediate outrage. The WSH called the act unjustifiable and a major breach of public trust. They worry the aggressive stunt could wreck the peace between the Sumi and Chakhesang tribes. "Naga United Village stands as a symbol of unity. Unprovoked acts of aggression like this threaten to damage the long-standing relationship and brotherhood between the Chakhesang and Sumi tribes," the group stated on Sunday.
The organization insists they will not let one man's behavior destroy years of mutual respect. They apologized to the victim and his family, promising full support. No citizen should face terror while trying to earn a paycheck. The WSH warned they will act against anyone trying to stir up hatred between communities.
