Kohima: Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) Jyotiraditya Scindia officially inaugurated the ‘Mission Coffees of Nagaland’ during a high-profile event held in New Delhi on May 18. The initiative is designed to act as a catalyst for economic growth by revitalizing and scaling the coffee industry within the state.
Highlighting the strategic importance of the project, Scindia described the mission as a transformative endeavor for the region. By modernizing cultivation techniques and expanding market access, the government aims to leverage Nagaland’s unique topography to produce premium coffee, thereby creating sustainable livelihoods for local farmers and elevating the state’s profile in the global agricultural market.
