Agartala: West Agartala police have dismantled two separate theft rings, resulting in the recovery of gold ornaments valued at Rs 35 lakh and 25 lost mobile phones. Officers arrested 10 individuals in connection with the crimes following investigations into cases registered on April 9 and April 23.
West Tripura District Superintendent of Police Namit Pathak credited the breakthrough to intelligence inputs and modern investigative techniques used during operations across the city. All 10 suspects are currently facing legal proceedings as the investigation continues.
Police returned the valuables to the owners on Sunday under court directives. "The recovered items were formally handed over to their rightful owners on Sunday following court directives. The handover ceremony was attended by SP Namit Pathak and other senior police officials," Pathak said.
The department reaffirmed its commitment to tracking stolen property and providing relief to affected families. Senior officials attended the handover event to emphasize the importance of these recovery efforts.
