Agartala: Tripura Tourism and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury stated that the BJP government is prioritizing women's empowerment across the state and the country. Speaking at a Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha conference in the Majlishpur constituency on Saturday, the minister noted that these government initiatives have allowed many women to achieve self-reliance in various sectors.

Addressing attendees at the Birendranagar School grounds, Chowdhury expressed confidence that the active participation of women serves as a testament to the public's ongoing trust in the current administration. He dismissed claims from political opponents, asserting that support for the government remains strong despite efforts to mislead the public.

The event aimed to bolster party organization while increasing the role of women in social and political spheres. High-profile attendees included Agartala Mayor and MLA Dipak Majumder, along with Majlishpur Mandal President Ranjit Roy Chowdhury. Local party leaders and Mahila Morcha members gathered to discuss the development agenda and reinforce their commitment to the party.
