Agartala: Tripura Scheduled Caste Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das visited the Kanchanbari home of the late Swagata Ghosh on Monday to offer his condolences to the bereaved family. Ghosh, the son of Sachindra Ghosh, went missing on June 3, and his body was discovered two days later in a water body near Dudhpur village. The incident has left the local community in mourning.
During his visit, Das was joined by local officials and police representatives from Fatikroy and Kumarghat. He instructed law enforcement to examine all aspects of the case to identify any potential foul play. Describing the situation as "truly tragic," the minister urged authorities to remain diligent in their search for answers.
"The truth behind the incident must come to light, and the actual culprits, if any, should be brought to justice," Das said. He spent time with the family to gather details and expressed his solidarity with them during this difficult time.
Following his visit, the minister traveled to Ward No. 5 of the Krishnanagar Gram Panchayat to address complaints regarding local infrastructure. Accompanied by engineers and block administration officials, Das inspected the area and ordered the immediate start of road construction projects to resolve long-standing transportation issues for residents.
