Agartala: A three-day public welfare camp, known as Jan Kalyan Shivir, began on Monday in the Unakoti district of Tripura. Organized by the Chandipur RD Block, the initiative celebrates 12 years of the central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
ARDD Minister Sudhangshu Das inaugurated the event, emphasizing the government's commitment to delivering services directly to citizens. The camps aim to eliminate bureaucratic delays by gathering representatives from multiple departments in a single location to provide guidance and support.
Highlighting the impact of the current administration, Minister Das stated, "Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country has set a new benchmark in development and public welfare. This Public Welfare Camp has been organized with the objective of ensuring that the benefits of various central and state government schemes reach even the most remote sections of society."
The initiative aligns with the broader goals of Chief Minister Professor Dr. Manik Saha to increase government transparency and accessibility. By offering services under one roof, officials hope to save residents time and ensure that welfare benefits reach eligible beneficiaries efficiently. The event was attended by local dignitaries, including Chandipur Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Sampa Das, and officials expect high participation from residents throughout the three-day duration.
