Agartala: Tripura has officially launched its first online school monitoring system, a move designed to enhance transparency and academic quality across the state. The initiative follows a recent high-level review meeting led by the Chief Minister, which prioritized improvements in foundational literacy and numeracy.
School Education Secretary Dr. Milind Dharamrao Ramteke inaugurated the platform, which will track school performance in real time. Under the new protocol, Block and Cluster Resource Persons must visit their assigned schools at least once every two weeks. These officials will submit inspection reports directly to the digital system, allowing the state to monitor progress for students in classes I through V more effectively.
The system also includes oversight for older students. Inspectors of Schools will conduct regular and surprise visits to assess academic standards for classes VI through X. Teachers are expected to document student assessments on the platform, and the department plans to recognize those who show significant improvements in their classrooms.
Director of Elementary Education Harshita Biswas highlighted the importance of a unified effort among all educational staff. She noted, "The Education Department remains committed to ensuring quality education and stressed the need for Inspectors, BRPs, CRPs, and teachers to work collectively for students' learning development."
Officials from the Vidya Samiksha Kendra provided training to school inspectors and resource persons from all eight districts to ensure smooth implementation. This digital transition represents the first step in a broader state plan to introduce more technology-driven initiatives aimed at strengthening the foundational education sector.
