Tripura Finance Minister Reports 5 Lakh Women Empowered Through Self-Help Groups

Agartala: Tripura has seen significant progress in economic empowerment for women through the state's expanding network of self-help groups. Finance Minister of Tripura announced that nearly 56,000 such groups have been established to date.

These initiatives have successfully created livelihood opportunities for 5 lakh women across the state. Reflecting on the scale of the program, the Finance Minister stated, "Nearly 56,000 SHGs created livelihood opportunities for 5 lakh women in Tripura."

The state government continues to prioritize these groups as a primary vehicle for fostering financial independence and local development. This widespread adoption of self-help models marks a major step forward for women's workforce participation in the region.
