Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha met with the new Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University, Prof. Debabrata Das, on July 12 to outline a five-year growth strategy. The sit-down focused on dragging the institution up the national rankings through sharper research and better infrastructure.

Das laid out a detailed blueprint for reform. He aims to overhaul academic standards and campus facilities to push the university into the national spotlight. Saha backed the push for progress. The Chief Minister expects the new leadership to deliver results quickly.

Saha believes a strong education system builds a stronger state. He told the new VC that the "intellectual standing of a state is reflected in the quality of its education system and the performance of its universities." The state government promised full support for any initiative that elevates the university’s status.

The two leaders agreed on the need for sustained effort. They want Tripura University to stand alongside the top institutions in the country. Now, the work begins.
