Agartala: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha ordered senior officials on Monday to accelerate road repairs damaged by monsoon rains. During a virtual meeting of the Task Monitoring System, he emphasized the need to keep commute routes clear and ensure construction quality remains high throughout the season.
Dr. Saha specifically addressed the Mohanpur to Subal Singh road project, demanding that teams complete the work within the original schedule. He urged all departments to finalize ongoing infrastructure projects promptly while maintaining strict oversight of urban services such as drainage and water management.
Public safety and healthcare were also central to the discussion. Dr. Saha instructed police to expand mobile patrolling in parks and family recreation areas to address crime and drug abuse. Regarding health, he directed staff to prioritize hospital hygiene and stated, "Food Safety Officers to increase inspections and ensure that food establishments follow proper safety and hygiene standards."
The review included input from departmental secretaries, District Magistrates, and police superintendents. The government aims to maintain steady power supplies and effective waste management protocols as the state continues to navigate the heavy weather conditions.
