Guwahati: Tripura is swinging for the fences. The state expects 500 investors from India and abroad to hit Agartala for the two-day Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026. The event kicks off July 9 at the International Fair Ground in Hapania. Union DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia will attend.

Chief Minister Manik Saha confirmed the move to the larger fairgrounds to handle the crowd. He expects the massive turnout to pull in 1 lakh crore in capital. Different state departments are lining up presentations to sell their projects to the incoming money. "Earlier also, business conclaves used to take place on a small scale, but this time around 500 businessmen are coming here," Saha said.

The state needs the cash. Officials hope these investments will boost infrastructure, pad the Gross State Domestic Product, and create jobs for locals. Last year saw 30,000 crore worth of deals signed, with 8,000 crore already hitting the ground. Saha credits the current law and order situation for drawing interest from the private sector. He says the state is ready for business.
