Guwahati: Tinsukia MLA Sanjay Kishan toured the Rangagara Tea Estate to evaluate the ruin caused by relentless flooding and riverbank erosion. The deluge has crippled local infrastructure and upended the lives of estate workers. Rain does not stop. Kishan walked through the worst-hit zones, tracking the destruction to homes and paths.

The legislator met with estate staff and residents to hear their grievances about the mounting losses. He took a hard look at the Rangagara Tea Estate Primary School and the local hospital to gauge how deep the damage runs. The water has left critical facilities in shambles.

Kishan promised he would push the relevant departments to act fast. He intends to lobby authorities to shore up the ground and fix what the river destroyed. "The MLA stressed the need for urgent steps to restore normalcy and address the problems caused to public life and infrastructure by the flood and erosion." Residents now wait for his promised intervention to start.
