Three Meghalaya Health Centres Secure National Quality Certification

Shillong: Three primary health centres in Meghalaya just earned National Quality Assurance Standards certification. These facilities proved they meet strict government healthcare benchmarks. The National Health Systems Resource Centre assessed them across six critical areas: outpatient, labor room, inpatient, laboratory, health programs, and administration.

Umden PHC in Ri-Bhoi topped the list with a 94.97 per cent score. West Khasi Hills’ Dongki Ingding PHC followed with 91.56 per cent. Laitryngew PHC in East Khasi Hills rounded out the group at 89.21 per cent. Officials labeled the feat "a reflection of the efforts being made to improve the quality of services and strengthen patient-centred care in Meghalaya’s public health facilities."

The health department commended the medical officers and staff for their teamwork. Everyone played a role in hitting these marks. The state continues to push for better public healthcare delivery through these quality benchmarks.
