Thenyizumi Students Union Kohima Sets 31st Annual Session for August

Kohima: The Thenyizumi Students Union Kohima (TSUK) plans to host its 31st general session and 2026 freshers social on August 22. The event kicks off at the Baptist High Auditorium located in the Mission Compound of Kohima. Organizers chose the theme Cultivating Minds, Strengthening Communities for this year's gathering.

Kenesa Dawhuo, Commandant of the 10th NAP (IR) Battalion in Zhadima, will serve as the guest speaker. Attendees can expect a series of formal addresses throughout the program. Zhothiyi Dawhuo, the village council chairman of Thenyizumi, will offer greetings. TSUK president Er. Vede Dawhuo will provide the official presidential address.

The agenda includes a presentation of the education and statistical report by Akhone Nienu. Kepozo Kapuh is scheduled to give an achievers talk. TSUK invited all freshers, students, parents, elders, and well wishers from both inside and outside Kohima to join the event. The union specifically requested that guests "wear at least one piece of traditional attire" to mark the occasion.
