Ten-Foot Statue of Zubeen Garg Unveiled in Boko

Guwahati: A grand ten-foot statue of Assam music icon Zubeen Garg was unveiled in the town of Boko on the evening of May 20. Garima Saikia Garg performed the unveiling during a special event hosted by the Bogai Cultural Committee, which drew a crowd of admirers and fellow artistes, including singer Jublee Baruah.

The statue, crafted by sculptor Pulak Ravha, serves as a permanent tribute to Garg and his widespread influence on the cultural and environmental landscape of Assam. During the ceremony, Garima Saikia Garg thanked the public for their enduring support and affection, noting that his contributions will continue to provide inspiration for future generations.

The evening featured several musical performances by Garima Garg and other guests. The event concluded with a call for the local youth to uphold the values and progressive vision promoted by the celebrated artist throughout his career.
