Kohima: Tsiituonuomia Khel (T.Khel) held its 9th Literary Day cum Felicitation Programme on Saturday at the T.Khel Indoor Stadium in Kohima. This year’s event centered on the theme Imprints of Imagination. Students competed in essay writing, painting, elocution, solo singing, spelling bee, creative writing, debate, instrumental solo, extempore, and quiz.
Winners earned the right to represent T.Khel at the flagship Kohima Village event called Spero Meliora on August 8. MLA Dr. Tseilhoutuo (Ato) addressed the valedictory session. He shared his past as a newspaper vendor and bus conductor to inspire the crowd. He told the students, "dedication and commitment are essential for success." He also warned against using new technology to spread fake news.
Earlier, Er. Sedevilie Suohu of PHED opened the event by stressing the need for students to respect their parents. Other speakers included TSU President Mezhükhriezo Zatsu, Vice President Vilhou Sekhose, and Zakie Suohu from the T.Khel Council. Suohu labeled the children the community's greatest treasure.
Rev. Kevimese Suhu of Nagabazar Baptist Church and Rev. Atuo Whuorie of Baptist Mission Church gave blessings. Cultural troupes and Ledilhounuo Sekhose performed for the attendees. General Secretary Keneipthelie Phewhuo closed the day by offering a vote of thanks.
