Guwahati: Public sector oil marketing companies are maintaining consistent fuel availability in Assam and throughout the country as demand rises. Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum, and Hindustan Petroleum report that they are working together to manage logistics and keep petrol, diesel, and LPG flowing to depots, pipelines, and retail stations.

The current spike in fuel consumption stems largely from seasonal harvesting and agricultural work across multiple states. To handle the increased volume, supply teams and transport networks are operating around the clock. Companies are also working closely with state officials to ensure distribution remains smooth and consistent.

Data from the last three days shows the effectiveness of these efforts, with 1.34 million LPG cylinders delivered against 1.32 million bookings. Officials are asking residents to maintain their normal purchasing habits and ignore rumors of shortages. They emphasized that consumers should only rely on official updates from authorized agencies regarding fuel supply status.
