Kohima: The State Entrepreneurs Conclave 2026 took place Wednesday at Niathu Resort in Chümoukedima, marking a significant effort to bolster Nagaland's business environment. The event, organized by YouthNet in partnership with CUTS International and The Asia Foundation with support from Google, explored the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital commerce, and sustainable enterprise.
YouthNet Director Nunesenuo Chase opened the event by praising the resilience of local business owners. She noted that these entrepreneurs are vital to economic and social progress, pledging YouthNet’s continued support through capacity building, advisory services, and better market access.
A featured panel on innovation and business growth included industry leaders Toinali Chophi of Beauty Barn India, Medo Putsure of Bambusa Express and JOME Foods, and Tasang Imchen of Expression Life. The discussion, chaired by YouthNet Associate Director Neikepekho Shosahie, provided practical advice on maintaining community roots while scaling operations in a modern economy.
Technical sessions rounded out the day with a focus on enterprise resilience. Shubham Ghosh of CUTS International discussed the necessity of digital security and trust for small businesses, while AI expert Sohom Banerjee detailed how emerging technologies are changing risk management and competitiveness for local firms.
