Gangtok: Sikkim election officials met Tuesday in Baluwakhani to push forward the Special Intensive Revision 2026. The state needs accurate voter lists. The Chief Electoral Officer sat down with observers to map out the work ahead.
Anil Raj Rai and Tushar Nikhare attended the session. They represent the Rural Development and Planning departments. These men now hold responsibility for monitoring voter rolls in Namchi, Pakyong, Gyalshing, and Soreng districts.
Workers are currently hitting the pavement for house-to-house checks. They are collecting and digitizing enumeration forms across the state. The Election Commission of India sets the rules for this massive data cleanup.
Observers will conduct three site visits to verify field operations. They must watch the machinery, talk to locals, and file reports back to headquarters. The CEO demanded total focus. "Ensuring a transparent, inclusive and error-free electoral roll" remains the primary goal for the team.
