Gangtok: Sikkim Chief Electoral Officer Raj Yadav has urged all eligible electors to submit their completed Enumeration Forms to Booth Level Officers by June 28, 2026. During a press briefing in Gangtok, Yadav confirmed that while the distribution of forms across the state is complete, the final submission is necessary to ensure inclusion in the electoral roll.
The CEO warned that no submissions will be accepted after the June 28 deadline. Once forms are handed over, Booth Level Officers will record them using the official app to begin the digitisation process. Yadav noted that digitisation efforts are currently lagging in several districts, with Pakyong recording the lowest progress at 31 percent. Officials have been directed to accelerate their workflows to ensure that constituencies currently below 30 percent digitisation reach at least the 50 percent mark by June 20.
To assist with the process, authorities are publishing contact details for Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers on social media to resolve grievances regarding non-responsive staff. Yadav emphasized that voters who have relocated must coordinate with the specific officers in their registered constituencies.
Commending the high-performing areas, Yadav specifically recognized several officials for their efforts. He stated, "I appreciate Booth Level Officers who have completed both distribution and digitisation in their respective polling areas." The CEO concluded by calling for full cooperation from political parties and the public to finalize the revision exercise on schedule.
